Block an account

Block an account from its profile or from the menu on one of its messages. Blocking stops new direct messages and friend requests from that account and hides its content from your view where possible.

Blocking is one-sided and silent: the other person is not notified. Review or unblock accounts from Settings under Privacy.

How do I report content or an account?

Accounts, messages, and posts have a Report action. The flow has three short steps:

  • Pick a reason. Choose the category that fits best, including harassment, hate, spam, scams, self-harm concerns, or child safety.
  • Add details and protect yourself. Describe what happened, and optionally block the account in the same flow. Sensitive categories may also show resources you can use right away.
  • Save the confirmation. You receive a reference ID in the form TVN-XXXX-XXXX. Keep it so support can identify the report if you need to follow up.

What happens after a report

Reports go to the moderation team. Child-safety and self-harm reports are placed in the priority queue. Taverns aims to review reports within 24 hours.

You receive an in-app notification when the report is submitted and another after review. For privacy reasons, Taverns cannot always share the specific action taken against another account.

Control sensitive content

Content marked as sensitive is hidden by default. To see it, you must verify that you are 18 or older using your date of birth and then opt in under Mature Content.

After opting in, sensitive images remain blurred in shared spaces until you reveal them unless you enable auto-show. You can also suppress the warning shown before entering age-restricted halls, and you can opt out again at any time.

Review privacy controls

Settings under Privacy controls who can reach you and what other people can see:

  • Direct messages: allow everyone, friends of friends, friends only, or nobody.
  • Friend requests: allow everyone, friends of friends, or nobody.
  • Visibility: control online status, last seen, game or activity visibility, and whether your profile appears in search.
  • Conversation controls: review blocked accounts and choose whether to send read receipts.
  • Notifications: filter push notifications for direct messages from people you do not know.

Understand moderation outcomes

The Terms prohibit harassment, hate, exploitation of minors, threats, doxxing, illegal content, and other harmful conduct. Violations can lead to content removal, warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans. Taverns may preserve or disclose information when required by law or necessary to address an immediate safety risk.

If you believe a moderation action was a mistake, reply through the support ticket or email support@tav.gg. For urgent or legal reports outside the app, email report@tav.gg.
