Discord server importer
Import supported Discord server setup into Taverns
Authorize Discord Ripper and bring supported server identity, channels, categories, roles, permission mappings, custom emoji, and supported stickers into a Taverns preview through a one-hour bearer link that must be kept private. Your Discord server remains unchanged.
- Read-only source server
- One-hour bearer link; keep it private
- Create only after confirmation
Four checkpoints
Install, prepare, preview, and confirm
Install Discord Ripper
The installer needs Manage Server permission. Discord asks you to choose the source server and approve View Channel access.
Run /migrate
A Discord administrator runs the command inside the server.
Review the one-hour preview
Sign in to Taverns through the one-hour bearer link and inspect the supported setup before anything is created.
Confirm the import
The API creates a new Tavern only after explicit confirmation.
Supported setup
Bring the community structure you would otherwise rebuild
Server identity
Name, description, icon, and banner.
Channels and categories
Supported types, ordering, topics, NSFW fields, and slowmode fields where both products represent them.
Roles and permissions
Supported roles, permission mappings, and channel or category overrides.
Community assets
Custom emoji and supported sticker formats.
Current caps
Check the per-import limits first
| Resource | Maximum |
|---|---|
| Channels | 200 |
| Roles | 50 |
| Custom emoji | 250 |
| Stickers | 60 |
Important exclusions
This is a supported import, not an exact clone
Messages, message history, members, member-specific overrides, webhooks, integrations, connected apps, audit logs, scheduled events, and auto-moderation rules are not copied. Unsupported Discord-specific data can be skipped or mapped differently.
The source Discord guild remains read-only. Keep the preview link private: any signed-in Taverns account with the valid capability can currently preview or import it during its one-hour lifetime.
