One night in your tavern.

How a normal raid night plays out, from the first ping to the last GG.

  1. 7:02 PM

    Somebody needs two for ranked

A ping lands in #looking-for-group. Thirty seconds later the voice hall has a full lobby. No call to start, nobody to ring.

  2. 7:15 PM

    Hop in a voice hall

Drop in, talk, drop out. Mute, deafen and push to talk are one click away, and the hall shows who is in it before you join.

  3. 8:40 PM

Show the clutch in 1080p 60

Share your game right in the voice hall at up to 1080p and 60 fps, so the squad sees every frame of that 1v4.

Stream at 1080p and 60 fps
  4. 10:05 PM

    Drop the whole VOD

The full match recording goes straight into chat. Files up to 2 GB send, so nobody has to upload it somewhere else first.

    Watch party in a Stage

Paste a YouTube video or a Twitch clip in the Stage hall and everyone watches it at the same second, roasting it in chat.

Bring your server. Keep your Discord.

Our free Discord migration tool copies your server’s channels, categories, roles, emoji and stickers into a new tavern. Your Discord server is not changed, and members and messages stay there, so you can invite people over at your own pace.

Questions, answered.

Why is Taverns a good Discord alternative for gamers?

It keeps what gaming groups already use, text and voice halls, roles, forums and events, and adds the things that usually cost extra: 1080p 60fps screen share, 2 GB uploads, Stage watch parties and 700 custom emoji per tavern, all free, with end-to-end encrypted voice and video calls.

Is Taverns free?

Yes. Making an account, creating a tavern, voice, screen share, file uploads, Stage halls and the apps are free. Optional extras are bought with Prisma, the in-app currency.

Does Taverns work on the Steam Deck?

Yes. Taverns for Linux runs on the Steam Deck in Desktop Mode, and you can also open tav.gg in the Deck’s browser.

Can a gaming league or MMO guild use Taverns?

Yes. Announcement halls, events with RSVPs, roles, private halls, forums and polls cover schedules, teams, match reports and votes. Taverns does not run brackets itself, so keep your bracket on a tournament site and link it in an announcement hall.

Can I bring my Discord server to Taverns?

Yes. The free Discord migration tool imports your server’s channels, categories, roles, permissions, emoji and supported stickers into a preview, and creates the tavern only after you confirm. Members and message history are not copied, and your Discord server is not changed.
